Location:
The property lies on scenic Frenchman Creek in central Chase County, one mile west of the village of Champion, Nebraska, and six miles southwest of the town of Imperial, the Chase County seat.

The village is the site of Champion Lake State Recreation Area. Champion Lake covers approximately eleven acres and offers picnicking, fishing and eight primitive campsites.

The village is also the site of Champion Mill State Historical Park. Champion Mill, the last functional water-powered mill in Nebraska, was purchased by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission in 1969 and made a state.
